"Handmade warmth!" (手作りのぬくもり！, Tezukuri no nuku mori!) is the sixth episode of the Shimoneta anime series. It premiered on August 8, 2015.[1]
Synopsis[]
SOX tries their luck at the lost art of forbidden-toy making! What could possibly go wrong when one of these creations ends up in the hands of Anna?[2]

Plot[]
Cold Open[]
Three boys look at a hentai drawing and try to process their tingly feelings. They try to ask Tanukichi what to do with their feelings, but Tanukichi tells them he doesn't know and runs off. Later, Ayame and Otome invite Tanukichi to the Felersio Café to make sex toys.
After the Intro[]
Ayame tells Tanukichi that the first ingredient to making sex toys is making lube, since stores don't sell it. She explains that while they got the students at Tokioka Academy to get their tingly feelings, they still don't know how to express them, which is why their next mission is to teach the students how to masturbate. She plans on giving them instructions on how to make their own sex toys. As for the girls, Ayame plans on giving them Otome's dirty drawings as an instruction manual. Ayame reveals that she'd love to get a vibrator working, but Tanukichi points out that Ayame said she wasn't making sex toys for girls. After the two argued about whether vibrators would feel pleasurable on boys or not, Otome shuts them up and suggests that they experiment instead. Ayame tells Tanukichi to ask Hyouka to make massage eggs and threatened to put him in a room alone with Anna if he didn't do what she wanted. Later, Ayame assigns Otome to paint the sex toys and Tanukichi to assure the quality of the sex toys, since neither Ayame nor Otome have penises. Tanukichi doesn't feel comfortable using his penis to test the toys, so Ayame decides that he uses his finger instead. Finally, Ayame and Tanukichi start cooking the lube. After cooling the lube, Tanukichi thinks that it feels fine. Otome keeps eating the lube, despite Tanukichi telling her not to. After that, the second phase begins, where Ayame recreates sex toys only known in oral tradition. They start with the Chilled Gel-Sheet Tenga, then the Legendary Potato Starch X, but Tanukichi didn't like either one due to how cold and hot they were. After a few hours, Ayame suggested putting an electric motor in an eggplant, but after further debate, they all decided that what they had made previously was enough. Later, Tanukichi got an e-mail from Hyouka, saying that the massage eggs were finished.
He got to Hyouka's lab and she showed him the finished eggs and the remote control. She also said that it was difficult to make the eggs as small as he wanted them to be, so there were some prototypes left outside. Tanukichi soon realized that Hyouka was wearing nothing but her lab coat. She explained that she was observing the water insects and how they "body-meld". Hyouka then asked Tanukichi to show her his "cucumber" as a reward for making his massage eggs. As they were arguing and running around the lab, Anna walked in and saw Tanukichi with a mostly-naked Hyouka, causing her to get very jealous and take the doorknob apart from the door out of anger. Tanukichi told Anna that she was asking Hyouka what present he should give to Anna. Anna noticed the massage egg, thinking it was the present. Tanukichi had no choice but to give it to her, telling her it was a rare power stone. He tried telling Anna that he would get a better present for her, but Anna accepted the "power stone" anyway and wore it as a necklace.

The next morning, Tanukichi tells Ayame that he gave the massage egg to Anna. This only worsened their situation, as a few hours prior, Ayame broke their other model. The duo arrived at the student council room, where Anna was. While they were talking about the special weekend project, Anna suddenly collapsed because the vibrator went off. Tanukichi desperately tried turning off the vibrator with the remote, but it didn't work. Ayame, thinking Tanukichi turned it on on purpose, called him a pervert and ran off. Anna then grabbed Tanukichi before falling to the ground again. Tanukichi took the opportunity and ran to Hyouka's lab so she could fix the remote. However, Hyouka said that she can't fix the remote without the eggs. Then, Anna desperately tried barging in through the door. She managed to do so, but Tanukichi still managed to escape. His next plan was to try to convince Ayame that he didn't set off the vibrator on purpose. While running down the hallway, he spotted Otome, who proceeded to yell out that she was with Tanukichi to grab Anna's attention because she wanted to draw them "body-melting". Tanukichi took off his suit and threw it at Otome. It was too late, though, as Anna spotted Tanukichi. As Tanukichi was running out of school, Gouriki picked him up and told him that Anna sent him, since their project couldn't be done without him. As Gouriki was dragging Tanukichi, he tried asking if he noticed anything strange about Anna. Gouriki explained that he saw her upper body moving more than it should, but nothing too strange. Anna distracted Gouriki by asking him to bring in a teacher so that she and Tanukichi could have sex. As Anna felt her chest move even more, Tanukichi saw his chance to escape, but Anna quickly pinned him down. Tanukichi desperately tried to grab the vibrator, but he was unable to due to Anna's tight grip on him. As Anna's breasts break from her shirt due to the vibrator, Tanukichi felt the vibrator on his crotch and tried desperately not to ejaculate. Finally, the massage egg broke and Tanukichi was set free. A few days later, Anna asked Tanukichi for another power stone. Tanukichi asked Ayame what she should do, but Ayame refused to help. After Otome said a dirty remark, Anna grew even more jealous and strangled Tanukichi.
Post-Credits scene[]
The PMs were talking about what had happened at the Yatsuka Forest. Kosuri was getting bored of her life and was mad at her dad, so she decided to look at the news to blow off steam. She then found news stories about SOX, and was very excited to join it.
Trivia[]
- In the English dub, when Tanukichi puts on his apron at the Felersio Café, he says that he's lost his appetite for cookies, referencing Anna's "love nectar" cookies in the previous episode.
- Unlike every other episode, the ending credits for this episode are instead shot inside an indoor pool. The pool, which has been nicknamed That Pool on the internet, is quite infamous, as it is used for lots of lewd Japanese photoshoots.[3][4] That Pool can also be shown blowing up in the opening theme. There is also a tutorial on how to make the Legendary Potato Starch X.
- The person in the tutorial is wearing an apron with a kanji that reads 裸, which translates to "naked" in English. This references the "naked apron".[5][6]
- This is the only episode of the series with unique credits.
- On American home media releases of this episode, the unique credits were removed and replaced with the normal credits. This unique version can still be watched on Funimation.[7]
- This is the first episode of the series that was not adapted from the manga or the light novels. The only other episode that is completely original is Episode 12.
- After Anna felt the vibrator turn on, Ayame breaks the fourth wall by saying that since they are in a dirty anime, no one can notice the vibrator's noise right away.
- This is the first (and only) time that the series has broken the fourth wall.
- Early in the episode, Ayame says that guys tape vibrators to the head of the penis, but Tanukichi says that it doesn't sound pleasurable. This foreshadows a scene later in the episode where Tanukichi tries not to ejaculate as he feels the vibrator on his crotch.
- Excluding her appearance in the ending card of Episode 5, this episode marks the debut of Kosuri.
- She is also added to the ending theme from this episode on. However, she doesn't appear until after the ending theme.
- The animal that represented Tanukichi's erection was a giraffe.
